PROFILE

Mrs. Ozohu O.M. Audu, the new Substantial Librarian was born on 16th December, 1972. She hails from Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State.

Mrs. Audu graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Library Science/ Political Science from Bayero University, Kano (BUK) in 1996, and obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria, Abuja in 2012.

At BUK, Mrs. Audu distinguished herserlf academically as the best Student in Library Science and was awarded Prof. Michael Wise’s annual prize for the best student in the Department. She was also a Faculty of Education Scholar at BUK in 1992/1993.

Mrs. Audu began her professional career in Kogi State Polytechnic as an Academic Librarian and rose to the position of Principal Librarian before joining the Library School as Lecturer 1 where she rose to the rank of Principal Lecturer in 2016.

She has attended and presented academic and professional papers locally and nationally. She has a number of scholarly books and published articles in reputable journals.

Mrs. Audu has served the Polytechnic in several capacities at Departmental, School and general administration levels. Until her appointment as the Acting Polytechnic Librarian. Mrs. Audu was the Head of Department of Library and Information Science.

She is a member of Nigerian Library Association and Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria. Mrs. Audu is happily married with Children.
