The Management of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja has urged the newly employed members of staff to be committed and diligent in carrying out their duties in order to promote efficiency and enhance quality assurance in the institution.

This was disclosed in an interactive and sensitization meeting held on Tuesday, 25th January, 2022 at the 500 Seat – Capacity Lecture Theatre at the Polytechnic Main Campus, Lokoja.

The Rector, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman acknowledged God Almighty for the rare privilege given to him to be in the Polytechnic and also thanked His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his constant support for the astronomical growth and development of the Institution.

Dr. Usman told the gathering that the best way to express appreciation to the State Government for finding them worthy of the employment was to be committed, punctual, hardworking and respectful, while giving in their best in executing their various duties.

The Rector said the management has effective reward and punishment system to motivate and discourage staff from indiscipline and unethical conducts. He warned all members of staff to shun every form of divisive tendencies.

In their separate remarks, the Deputy Rector, Dr. Felix Kehinde Lamidi; the Registrar, Elder Sunday Aiyeetan; the Bursar, Mr. Obadaki Adeika Obaro; The Polytechnic Liberian, Mrs. Omolara Oziohu Muhammed Audu; and the Director of Works and Services, Engr. Adamu Abdullahi Ayni commended Governor Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his act of benevolence towards the state and the Polytechnic in particular. They also commended the Rector for being resolute with his firm decision to grant such a rare privilege of job opportunity to the people.

They further expressed their profound gratitude to the Rector for facilitating the process of employment and charged the newly employed staff members to be punctual and of good behaviour at all times.

Other members of Management team who spoke in turns charged the newly employed members of staff to shun indecent dressing, urging them to be true ambassadors of the Polytechnic by abiding by the rules and regulation governing the Institution. They further charged the newly employed members of staff to engage in personal development so as to become the better versions of who they used to be.

Some of the newly employed staff members in their responses expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Rector and Management for finding them worthy of the employment, and promised to be law-abiding, committed and dedicated to their duties.
