His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has approved the establishment of the School of Agricultural Technology with effect from 2020/2021 Academic session.
Consequently, applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the vacant positions in the following Departments.
i. Agricultural Technology

1. CHIEF LECTURER (CONPCASS 15)
Candidates must possess:
i. PhD in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 15 years cognate experience or Master’s Degree in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 18 years cognate experience.
ii. In addition to (i) above, candidates should have demonstrated proven academic and administrative leadership.
iii. Must have been a Principal Lecturer in the last 3 years.
iv. Must have four papers/articles in reputable Journals, Five book chapters or Two Standard textbooks since last promotion.
v. In addition to iv above candidates should have five papers read at the National/ International Conference/Seminars.
vi. Evidence of community service.
vii. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
2. PRINCIPAL LECTURER (CONPCASS 14)
Candidates must possess:
i. PhD in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 12 years cognate experience or Master’s Degree in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 15 years cognate experience
ii. Must have been a Senior Lecturer in the last 3 years.
iii. In addition to (i) and (ii) above, candidates should have Four additional papers/articles published in reputable Journal and book chapters contributed in standard textbooks since last promotion.
iv. Evidence of ability to initiate and supervise research work.
v. Academic and administrative Leadership.
vi. Evidence of community service.
vii. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
3. SENIOR LECTURER (CONPCASS 13)
Candidates must possess:
i. PhD in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 6 years cognate experience or Master’s Degree in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 8 years cognate experience with proven ability for applied research and industrial work.
ii. Must have been a Lecturer I in the last 3 years.
iii. Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise approved research project.
iv. Published One Journal article or Two chapter contributions in standard textbook.
v. The candidates must have since last promotion attended and read at least Three conference/ seminar papers.
vi. Academic and administrative Leadership
vii. Evidence of community service.
viii. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
4. LECTURER 1 (CONPCASS 12)
Candidates are to possess:
i. PhD in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 3 years teaching/research and industrial experience, or
ii. Master’s degree/equivalent professional qualifications in the relevant fields from recognized institutions of higher learning with at least 5 years of teaching/research experience in an institution of higher learning.
iii. A good first Degree from a recognized institution of higher learning or equivalent professional qualification(s) in relevant fields with at least 7 years relevant post-qualification teaching/research experience in an institution of higher learning.
iv. Must have been a Lecturer II in the last 3 years.
v. Five conference/ seminar papers, two Journal articles or one (1) chapter contribution in standard textbook.
vi. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
5. LECTURER 11 (CONPCASS 11)
Candidates are to possess:
i. PhD in the relevant fields from recognized institutions of higher learning or Master’s Degree/equivalent professional qualifications in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 3 years of cognate experience or
ii. A good first Degree or equivalent professional qualifications with at least 6 years relevant post-qualification teaching /research experience or industrial experience.
iii. Must have been a Lecturer III in the last 3 years.
iv. Three journal publication and three Conference/ Seminar papers
v. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
6. LECTURER 111(CONPCASS 9)
Candidates are to possess:
i. Master’s Degree/equivalent professional qualifications in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with at least 3 years of cognate experience or
ii. A good first degree or equivalent professional qualifications with at least 6 years relevant post-qualification teaching /research experience or industrial experience.
iii. Must have been an Assistant Lecturer in the last 3 years.
iv. Two Conference/ Seminar papers and one journal article
v. Membership of relevant professional bodies as appropriate.
7. INSTRUCTOR (CONPCASS 8)
Candidates are to possess:
i. Higher National Diploma in the relevant fields from recognized institutions with NYSC discharge certificate; and
ii. City and Guild FTC plus Technical Teachers’ certificate obtained at FCE (Technical) plus 2 years working experience.
8. TECHNOLOGISTS (CONPCASS 7)
Candidates are to possess:
i. Higher National Diploma /equivalent qualifications plus NYSC discharge certificate or
ii. Full Technological certificate or equivalent with at least 3 years relevant experience.
iii. AIST (Associate Membership of the Institute of Science Technologists).
9. TECHNICIANS (CONPCASS 7)
Candidates must possess:
National Diploma in relevant fields with 3 years experience.
10.FIELD OFFICER (CONTEDISS 7)
Candidates are to possess:
Higher National Diploma in relevant fields and must have the NYSC discharge certificate or National Diploma in relevant fields with 3 years experience.
11. EXTENSION OFFICER (CONTEDISS 7)
Candidates are to possess:
Higher National Diploma in relevant fields and must have the NYSC discharge certificate or National Diploma in relevant fields with 3 years experience.
12. PROGRAMMER/SYSTEM ANALYST (CONTEDISS 8)
Candidates are to possess:
I. First Degree/Higher National Diploma (HND) Second Class Lower or Lower Credit in Computer Science or Information Communication Technology.
II. Must have the NYSC discharge certificate.
III. Evidence of additional Qualifications and membership of Professional bodies are added advantage.
